I'm looking to install RAD Studio XE7 'side by side' with my XE6 install. There isn't enough space in my VM. I'd like to remove everything C++ Builder related (including Boost etc) from XE6 and just leave this VM as Delphi-only - is there a nice, easy, and /safe/ way to do this? TIA. How Do I Get C++Builder Installed in RAD Studio 2007?
I had Architect 2006, and when 2007 first came out, only Delphi was available, so that was installed. I now need to update an old BCB5 project, and BCB5 won't run on Win7 64bit properly, so I need to update that. It was my understanding that since my upgrade was from Architect 2006, I'd be able to get BCB 2007 when it came out. I've downloaded the RAD Studio 2007 from the registered user download site and installed it, but there is no BCB in it, and it won't open a BCB5 project file. What step have I missed? Hi I've been using C++ builder 6 for about 3 years now, and suddenly the C and S keys have stopped working in the object inspector. e.g. I'm putting a caption of 'Options' onto a menu item, and the 's' never appears. If I type it into the IDE and copy the text, it pasted in OK, This is the same whether or not it's in upper or lower case. I am on the 30 day trial of the XE6 C++ builder with a view to convert my old C Builder 5 based programs and I require the COMPORT serial communications module. I have downloaded this module ,also as a trial, but only seem to have 2 .dcu files and a .dpk file for each version of cbuilder/delphi. I've tried the demo version, built my OCX, set the constrained size, and added some event handler. It works exactly like the old Borland CBuilder 6: the grab handles does not follow the constrained size, the OnCloseQuery and OnDestroy events are not fired, there's is not an OnAmbientChange event available. Building OCX is an important feature for us, as our customer needs them... so, if i were the one that take the final decision, i'll migrate to MS developement tools.... i'm not that one, but i'll strongly push in that direction.
